To allow our staff some time off to spend with their friends and families, we will be closed all day and night on Thursday, July 4th, for Independence Day. Alliance Française d'Atlanta (AF) invites their member to join us for an evening of French conversation and sampling of French cuisine at their Dîner en Français on Wednesday, June 26th, from 7-9 p.m. The organizations’s Dîners en Français are designed for AF members to practice their French while enjoying a delicious French meal. Enjoy a three-course menu with a salad and choice of entree and dessert. The event costs $40 per person, and reservations must be made through AF.
This week’s lunch special is our Chilled Seafood Trio featuring our house-made smoked salmon mousse, jumbo shrimp cocktail, and Crab Louie. Try all three delights from the sea through Friday, June 14th.
Seafood Petite is our dinner special this week. Fresh dry (natural) scallops, plump jumbo shrimp, and succulent PEI mussels are all simmered in a basil chardonnay broth and served over rice pilaf for a dish that's both healthy and delicious. Performing for you from the Capitol City Opera Company are: August Bair as Valjean, Wade Thomas as Javert, Julia Metry as Fantine/Eponine, Gus Godbee as Thenardier, Nicole Duncan as Madame Thenardier, Lucy Stearns as Cosette, Truman Griffin as Marius, and Olivia Graubart as Young Cosette. They will be accompanied by the company's musical director, Catherine Giel.
In addition to an evening of opera music, you'll enjoy a wonderful fixed-price, four-course dinner paired with wine, leaving you with an evening to remember.
