Our next Dinner and a Diva installment, featuring Opera in Love, An Evening of the Greatest Opera Romances, will be held on Tuesday, February 21, the special event includes a multi-course wine dinner with entertainment from the Capitol City Opera Company. The performers from the Capitol City Opera Company sing between each course. The show boasts selections from opera's most romantic scenes and arias—including several Dinner and a Diva audience favorites—performed by soprano Bryn Holdsworth, an Atlanta Opera Young Artist, and tenor Marc Porlier. They will be accompanied by pianist Catherine Giel. Our first Dinner and a Diva event of 2017 will be held on Tuesday, January 17, featuring highlights of Mozart's The Magic Flute. This opera is a whimsical tale about a gallant young man attempting to save the love of his life from the clutches of her evil mother. Along the way he has the help of his faithful bird companion and a little magic!
