New Murder Mystery Show Premieres August 11

The most privileged members of society travel around the world to vacation at one of the popular resorts in the White Lotus Hotel chain.  To stay here, you have to be more than affluent, you must be part of an exclusive club known as Lotus Eaters.  The Silver Lake is home to one such sanctuary, The Infamous Nevermore Hotel.  The staff is exceptional and ready to accommodate their elite clientele no matter how eccentric and mysterious they are. Unfortunately, this getaway has gone very awry! In this beautiful paradise, something sinister is stalking everyone. Employees and guests are beginning to droplike flies!  Mosquitos, melons and murder?!? Who’s responsible for all this death? Who can solve these dreadful doings? Come watch our show and find out! Dinner Special June 14-17

Our dinner special this week is Beef Medallion Oscar, featuring succulent grilled beef tenderloin medallions steal the show, perfectly complemented by rich lobster and crab meat, and accompanied by vegetables. Enjoy a four-course dinner paired with wine, featuring hors d’ oeuvres, salad, choice of two gourmet entrees, dessert, coffee/tea, and two glasses of wine, for $75 per person (plus taxes and fees). Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar open at 6:15 p.m., and the dinner and show start promptly at 7:00 p.m

“We witness the violent clash of two personalities who are complete opposites: in power, love and belief. In 1587, Maria Stuarda, Queen of Scotland, has been held prisoner for several years by her cousin Elisabetta, Queen of England. Roberto, Earl of Leicester, with whom Elisabetta is secretly in love, wants to help Maria, to whom he declares his love and proposes marriage to her. He advises Maria to be conciliatory towards her powerful cousin. But the two queens face off at a meeting whose violence leads Elisabetta to sign the death warrant for Maria, who has publicly insulted her. The cruelty of Elisabetta, devoured by jealousy, extends to demanding that Roberto attend her rival’s execution.”

Dinner and a Diva: Cendrillon

The Capitol City Opera Company singers perform here on Tuesday, May 16th and Thursday, May 18th, at 6:15 pm, for Dinner and a Diva: a night of delicious food and performances from Massenet’s Cendrillon. “Cendrillon is Massenet’s beautiful operatic retelling of the fairy tale of Cinderella. We meet all our favorite characters: the horrible step-mother Madame de la Haltière, and step-sisters Noémie and Dorothée, Cendrillon’s kind-hearted father Pandolfe, the Fairy Godmother (La Fée), and, of course, Le Prince Charmant. When Cendrillon is left behind, again, by her step-mother and step-sisters, as they go off to a ball with the Prince, La Fée hears her sadness, and wants to make her happy. She brings spirits and elves and instructs them to weave a dress out of star-silk, and color it with moonlight so that Cendrillon can also go to the ball. The finishing touch is, of course, the enchanted glass slipper, which will protect Cendrillon’s identity should she run into her family at the ball. There is only one rule, she must be back for midnight.” Enjoy a four-course dinner with wine in between songs.

Meals range in price from $59.95 to $79.95 for adults. There is also a perfectly portion kids meal for just $9.95 each, with a choice of entree joined by a fruit cup and ice cream sundae for dessert.
