Dinner and a Diva: La Traviata

Every third Tuesday of the month, we host Dinner and a Diva. Each event features live entertainment consisting of selections from a famous opera performed by the Capitol City Opera Company’s singers. January’s selection is La Traviata, on Tuesday, January 21st. In addition to an evening of music, you’ll enjoy a gourmet four-course dinner with wine, leaving you with an evening to remember. Your dinner will include a sampling of premium hors d’ oeuvres, fresh salad, choice of two gourmet entrees, decadent dessert, hot coffee/tea, and two glasses of fine wine, for only $75 per person (plus tax and gratuity). “La traviata” is a tragic opera by Giuseppe Verdi where Violetta, a high-class Parisian courtesan living a glamorous but ill life, falls deeply in love with a young man named Alfredo Germont, despite the societal disapproval of their relationship; however, when Alfredo’s father pressures her to leave his son for the sake of the family’s reputation, Violetta sacrifices her love, leading to her eventual decline and death from consumption, leaving Alfredo heartbroken and realizing the depth of her sacrifice only too late.”

Does your New Year’s resolution include trying something new or eating healthy? If so, then try our Wild Game Festival Menu! This popular limited-time menu features an exotic appetizer and entrees using bison and venison, which are lower in calories and fat than traditional beef. We’ll have the special menu, along with our regular dinner menu, every evening during dinner, from 4:30 to 9 p.m., from Friday, January 31st, through Saturday, February 8th. The Wild Game Festival Menu starts with the Venison Three Ways appetizer. This dish includes venison meatballs in a creamy game sauce, venison stroganoff with spatzle, and venison chili. It is a great sampler to share with the table. Entrees include Venison Stroganoff, comprised of thinly sliced venison loin seared in a light cream sauce, topped with oyster, shiitake and beech mushrooms on a bed of homemade spätzle. The menu also boasts bison in the form of either a Bison Burger or Bison Bourguignon, slow-braised bison short rib served with pommes puree, carrots, shiitake mushrooms, pearl onions and cabernet game sauce.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with us and enjoy a special holiday dinner menu, on Friday, February 14th. The lovely five-course Valentine’s Dinner Menu offers a choice of each of hot hors d’oeuvres, rich soup, fresh salad, gourmet entrée and decadent dessert, for just $99.95 per person (plus tax and gratuity). Preordered Holiday Meals To Go

Take us home for the holidays with Preordered Holiday Meals To Go. Since we’re closed Tuesday, December 24 through Wednesday, December 25, so our staff can enjoy some time off with their families, we have a to-go menu featuring four courses and offering a traditional turkey plate entrée or salmon over tagliatelle pasta or boeuf bourguignon. All items come individually wrapped and portioned with reheating instructions included. Orders called in at 404-634-6268 must be picked up on Monday, December 23, from 12 to 6 p.m. The price per person is $49.95, for hearty soup, crisp salad, gourmet entrée and decadent dessert.

Join us for a special six-course New Year’s Eve Menu, party favors and a champagne toast, on Tuesday, December 31. The complete dinner costs $99.95 per person (plus tax and gratuity) and seatings are available from 5-9 p.m.

The Boar’s Head Feast is the annual holiday show featuring The Capitol City Opera Madrigal Singers, an a capella vocal ensemble which specializes in secular and sacred music spanning the centuries. Attendees enjoy a four-course meal fit for a French royal of the Renaissance age and see our Madrigal Singers perform Christmas carols, holidays hits, other lively tunes, in period costume! Your dinner will include hors d’ oeuvres, fresh salad, choice of two gourmet entrees, decadent dessert, coffee/tea, and two glasses of wine, all for only $75 per person (plus taxes and fees).
